Head to head
OKX vs Anytime Capital
OKX is one of the largest exchanges in the world, and until April 2025 it was not supposed to be serving Americans at all. After a $505 million guilty plea it launched a licensed U.S. exchange from San Jose, with no service in New York or Texas. Anytime Capital is a U.S. money services business that sells to customers worldwide, with card pricing from 4% with the spread included, cash and same-day wire, a phone number, and an Atlanta branch. Here is the honest breakdown.
- Card orders from 4% with one total, versus a third-party card provider with its own fee at OKX
- Cash in branch, cash by mail, Cash App and same-day wire that OKX does not offer
- Call (470) 748-2530 or walk into the Atlanta branch; OKX is a chat window

Quick answer
Which is better, OKX or Anytime Capital?
If you want an order book, limit orders and trader tooling in a supported state, OKX is built for that. Anytime Capital is the better fit for anyone who wants a card, cash or wire order today: pricing from 4% with the spread included and the amount you pay and the crypto you receive shown before you confirm, against a card purchase that OKX hands to a third-party provider, plus cash, same-day wire, Cash App, an OTC desk, a phone line, a branch, an FDIC-insured cash account with a virtual debit card, and delivery to a wallet you control. OKX is not available in New York or Texas.

OKX does not sell crypto for a card payment directly: card purchases on OKX are routed through third-party providers whose fees vary by provider and card, typically a few percent plus a spread. Anytime Capital card pricing starts from 4% and is shown in full before you confirm, excluding network fees. As of September 2026.
What OKX is, and what it is not
OKX was founded in 2017 as OKEx by Star Xu, is operated globally by a Seychelles entity, and grew into one of the three or four largest exchanges in the world by volume, with more than 300 assets and customers in more than 100 countries. Its OKX Wallet is a self-custody wallet that connects to dozens of chains, and it has become a serious product in its own right. For years the exchange served U.S. customers it was not licensed to serve, and in February 2025 its operator pled guilty to running an unlicensed money transmitting business and paid about $505 million to the Department of Justice.
Two months later, in April 2025, OKX launched a licensed U.S. exchange from a new headquarters in San Jose under CEO Roshan Robert, migrating customers of Okcoin, its earlier U.S. brand. OKX Inc. is registered with FinCEN and licensed as a money transmitter in more than 40 states. It is not available in New York or Texas, and some sources list Hawaii, Kentucky, Nevada and West Virginia as excluded too. The U.S. product is custodial, priced like an exchange, and supported by chat.
Anytime Capital is a different kind of company. It is a U.S. money services business that sells to customers worldwide, with a storefront on Piedmont Road in Atlanta, an office in Miami's One Biscayne Tower, a phone number, (470) 748-2530, that reaches a person, and nine ways to pay, including cash and same-day wire. Coins are delivered to a non-custodial wallet you control. It is a place to buy, hold and cash out, not an order book. The crypto is the same; the history and the shape of the company are not.
Fees: a trading schedule and a third-party card, versus one all-in number
OKX's spot schedule starts at 0.10% to take and 0.08% to make and falls with volume and holdings, and its U.S. fee framework, updated for 2026, follows the same pattern with some pair-specific adjustments, such as a taker fee increase on certain stablecoin pairs from September 1, 2026. ACH deposits are free. Wire fees depend on your bank. Crypto withdrawals carry a per-coin fee that OKX sets. That is a trading schedule, and it applies to money that is already inside the exchange.
Card purchases are a different story. OKX does not process cards itself; it routes card, Apple Pay and Google Pay purchases through third-party providers, each with its own fee, its own approval process and its own spread. The all-in cost is not something OKX publishes as a single number. Anytime Capital's card pricing starts from 4% with the spread included, so a $1,000 card order is from $40 with the amount you pay and the crypto you receive shown before you confirm.
The honest summary: OKX prices like an exchange, with a trading schedule on one page and a card provider's fee on another. Anytime Capital prices like a seller, with one all-in number before you confirm, and if you need the coins today, want to pay with cash, a credit card or a same-day wire, or want a person on the phone when something goes wrong, that is the number that matters. The OTC desk is where larger orders go.

Ways to pay: nine rails versus ACH, wire and a card handoff
OKX US takes ACH and USD wire directly, and hands card, Apple Pay and, where available, Google Pay purchases to third-party providers. Credit cards depend on the provider and the issuer. There is no cash rail and no Cash App. For a customer in New York or Texas, there is no rail at all.
Anytime Capital accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay, debit and credit cards, ACH, domestic wire, Cash App, cash in person at the Atlanta branch, and cash by mail from anywhere in the United States. Wires settle the same business day. It sells to customers worldwide, with the branch and the cash rails as extras for anyone who can reach Atlanta or a U.S. mailbox. If one rail is blocked by your bank, there are eight others, and all of them are processed by Anytime Capital rather than a third party.

Support: 24/7 chat, versus a phone number and a front door
OKX's Trustpilot profile sits somewhere between 2.2 and 2.9 out of 5 across more than 1,600 reviews, depending on when you look, and OKX replies to most of the negative ones. The praise is for speed, the app and the wallet. The complaints are the ones every global exchange collects: accounts frozen, withdrawals blocked pending review, and generic chat responses. There is no phone line, and the U.S. product is new enough that reviewers often cannot tell whether they are describing the global platform or OKX US.
At Anytime Capital you can call (470) 748-2530 during business hours and reach someone who can see your order. You can email. You can drive to 2549 Piedmont Road NE in Atlanta and sort it out across a desk. For larger orders the OTC desk gives you a named contact from quote to settlement.
More than an exchange: the account that comes with it
OKX's answer to custody is the OKX Wallet, and it is a good one: a self-custody wallet that works across dozens of chains. But the exchange account itself is custodial, and the reviews show what that means when a review lands. Anytime Capital customers get an FDIC-insured cash account with a free virtual debit card, a non-custodial wallet, and buy and sell in the same app, so the coins you buy are never sitting in an exchange balance waiting for permission to leave.
When OKX is the right call
Choose OKX if what you want is an order book: limit orders, trader tooling and a fast app, with the OKX Wallet's self-custody tools next to a licensed exchange account. Its U.S. business is new but properly licensed, and its global platform is enormous. It does not serve New York or Texas.
